Global Surfaces Limited's Board approved unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations rose about 30% year-on-year to Rs. 745.04 million (from Rs. 571.48 million in Q1 FY25), driven by its US subsidiary. However, the company reported a consolidated loss after tax of Rs. 5.72 million, though narrower than the Rs. 12.62 million loss in the same quarter last year. On a standalone basis, revenue fell about 34% to Rs. 281.49 million and profit after tax dropped sharply to Rs. 14.62 million from Rs. 63.69 million a year ago. The Board also approved the 34th AGM to be held on September 18, 2025 via video conferencing.
Mixed picture for shareholders — consolidated revenue growth from the US subsidiary is encouraging but the company remains loss-making at the group level, and standalone earnings have weakened sharply. Management flagged significant uncertainty from elevated US tariffs on Indian goods, though its Dubai-based manufacturing unit provides some tariff advantage. Investors should watch upcoming quarters to see if tariff pressures and standalone weakness worsen.
