Globalspace Technologies posted strong Q3 revenue growth, with standalone revenue rising ~38% YoY to Rs 1,256.85 lacs (vs Rs 907.51 lacs) and consolidated revenue up ~31% to Rs 1,663.50 lacs (vs Rs 1,268.98 lacs). Despite the topline surge, standalone PAT slipped to Rs 46.27 lacs (vs Rs 61.90 lacs) and consolidated PAT fell to Rs 36.22 lacs (vs Rs 67.38 lacs) on a YoY basis. For the nine-month period, however, the company swung back to profit — standalone PAT at Rs 76.18 lacs (vs a loss of Rs 192.44 lacs) and consolidated PAT at Rs 40.18 lacs (vs a loss of Rs 184.43 lacs). The auditor flagged that the inventory register was not properly updated and that some statutory payments were delayed; the consolidated review also noted that subsidiary accounts were not independently audited. Separately, the company issued a Rs 98 lakh corporate guarantee in favour of Axis Bank on behalf of its subsidiary Innopharm Healthcare for an overdraft facility.
Revenue momentum is positive for shareholders, but the YoY dip in quarterly profit, weak internal controls flagged by auditors, and a fresh corporate guarantee for the subsidiary (adding contingent liability) are near-term concerns that could weigh on sentiment.
