Globe International Carriers (GICL) reported its Q1 FY26 standalone results on August 12, 2025. Revenue from operations rose to ₹3,433.13 lakhs from ₹3,072.85 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 12%. Profit after tax nearly doubled to ₹174.16 lakhs (from ₹89.02 lakhs), and EPS rose to ₹0.62 from ₹0.36. On a consolidated basis, PAT was lower at ₹145.20 lakhs, weighed down by losses from subsidiaries — Govind Kripa Infratech (₹27.40 lakhs loss) and Intraglobe Green Energy (₹1.57 lakhs loss). The company also completed the acquisition of 51% in Govind Kripa Infratech for ₹29.43 crores, paid via share swap of 30.69 lakh new equity shares issued at ₹95.90 each. The auditor issued an unqualified (clean) limited review report.
Strong standalone earnings growth is a positive signal for the stock, but the newly acquired subsidiary is loss-making and the share-swap consideration will dilute existing shareholders. Investors should watch whether the GKIT acquisition turns profitable in coming quarters.
