Go Digit General Insurance reported audited financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 2026. Gross premium written grew 9.8% year-on-year to Rs 11,294 crore, while net profit jumped 28% to Rs 544 crore from Rs 425 crore in FY2025. The combined ratio improved to 110.7% from 109.3%, and solvency ratio strengthened to 2.42. The company appointed Kirtane & Pandit LLP as Tax Auditors for FY2025-26 and Mr. Ajaysinh Bharatsinh Jadeja as Chief Legal Claims and Investigation Officer, designated as Key Management Person under IRDAI regulations. Despite an underwriting loss of Rs 865 crore due to high claims in motor segment, investment income of Rs 1,312 crore drove overall profitability. EPS improved to Rs 5.89 from Rs 4.65.
The company delivered strong profit growth and improved solvency, which should be positive for shareholders. However, the persistent underwriting loss and combined ratio above 100% indicate ongoing challenges in the motor insurance business that investors should monitor.
