Acuité Ratings has reaffirmed Goa Carbon's long-term rating at 'ACUITE BBB+' and short-term rating at 'ACUITE A2', both with a 'Stable' outlook, on enhanced bank facilities totaling Rs. 500 crore. Of this, Rs. 75 crore of bank loan facilities were newly assigned, while the remaining Rs. 425 crore were reaffirmed. New credit lines include working capital demand loans (WCDL) of Rs. 25 crore each from Indian Bank and IDFC First Bank, along with a Rs. 25 crore cash credit from IDFC First Bank. Existing lenders such as SBI, IndusInd Bank, Bank of India, Canara Bank, and NKGSB Cooperative Bank continue to support the company with cash credit and letter of credit facilities. BBB+ indicates an investment-grade rating reflecting adequate capacity to meet financial commitments.
The reaffirmed investment-grade rating with a Stable outlook signals continued lender confidence and creditworthiness. The enhanced Rs. 500 crore facility (up from prior limits) gives the company greater working capital headroom, which is mildly positive for operational flexibility, though it also increases leverage capacity.
