Godavari Biorefineries reported Q4 FY25 revenue of Rs. 579.5 Cr, down from Rs. 615.2 Cr in Q4 FY24, but full-year FY25 revenue grew to Rs. 1,870.3 Cr from Rs. 1,686.7 Cr. Q4 EBITDA was Rs. 121.7 Cr with margin improving to 21.0% from 20.2%, though full-year EBITDA margin slipped to 6.4% from 8.8%. Q4 profit after tax (excluding one-time deferred tax impact of Rs. 24.5 Cr) jumped to Rs. 96.4 Cr from Rs. 65.2 Cr, but FY25 PAT turned negative at Rs. -23.4 Cr due to the one-time tax charge. The Bio-based Specialty Chemicals segment delivered over 2x EBITDA growth, with revenue up 28% YoY in Q4. The company achieved record cane crushing of 24.65 lakh tonnes in sugar season 2024-25 and is progressing on a 200 KLPD grain/maize distillery expected in Q4 FY26.
Mixed signals for shareholders — Q4 showed strong margin expansion and PAT growth led by the high-value bio-based chemicals segment, but full-year profitability declined and a one-time deferred tax pushed FY25 into a net loss. The capacity expansion and segment-level growth story are positives, but near-term stock reaction may be tempered by the full-year loss and weaker FY25 EBITDA margins.
