GPIL invested further Rs.150 Crores in its wholly owned subsidiary Godawari New Energy Pvt Ltd by subscribing to 15 crore equity shares of Rs.10 each at par on rights basis. Total investment in GNEPL now stands at Rs.600 Crores. GNEPL is setting up a 20 Gwh Battery Energy Storage System plant in the first phase, to be located in Maharashtra. GNEPL was incorporated in June 2025 and has not yet started operations. Its net worth was Rs.298 Cr as of March 2026 with zero turnover so far.
Major capex push into a new BESS business vertical. Funded internally, no shareholder dilution now but ties up capital in pre-revenue unit.
