Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited, has entered into a supply agreement with Shanghai Shenyi Roche Energy Technology Limited (a Chinese company) for the purchase of Balance of System components for a 5 MWh DC Block on CKD (Completely Knocked Down) basis. This is for the first phase of a planned 20 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant at Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. The agreement secures a stable, reliable, and cost-effective supply chain for GNEPL. Roche Energy will supply the entire Balance of System except LFP Cells, covering product design, manufacturing, material supply, and technology support. The company describes this as a major milestone towards manufacturing BESS. The signed agreement copy was received on 23 April 2026.
