CARE Ratings Limited has submitted its monitoring agency report for the Rs. 500 crore preferential issue of fully convertible equity share warrants. The company has received Rs. 150.22 crore (25% of total) so far and utilized Rs. 150.17 crore. Of this, Rs. 25.22 crore was deployed during Q4 FY26 for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project being implemented through subsidiary Godawari New Energy Private Limited. CARE Ratings noted that due to multiple fund inflows and outflows in the company's current account, a direct one-to-one linkage of funds invested in the subsidiary could not be conclusively established during the quarter. No deviations from the stated objects or means of finance were observed. All three project categories (Project Funding, BESS Investment, and General Corporate Purposes) are ongoing with targeted completion by April 2028.
The report is largely positive with no material deviations noted. However, the partial receipt of warrant consideration (only 25% received) and the monitoring agency's observation about fund linkage ambiguity could raise minor concerns about tracking of proceeds for investors.
