Gokul Agro Resources has relocated its planned captive solar power project from Dalpura, Banaskantha to Village Bamanva, Taluka Vijapur, District Mehsana in Gujarat, citing technical reasons and to avoid further regulatory delays at the original site. The company has acquired project land on lease at the new location and received grid connectivity approval from GETCO on December 30, 2025 for an 11.84 MW solar project at the 66KV Bamanva Substation. The project is for captive use. Installation work is now expected to be completed within the next 6–8 months, pushing back the original timeline referenced in earlier announcements from May 2024 and March 2025.
The location change confirms a delay in the company's capex plan, though obtaining fresh approvals and land should help the project move forward. Once commissioned, the captive 11.84 MW solar project may lower long-term power costs for the company.
