Gold, silver prices today: Comex gold and silver edge lower amid Middle East tensions, firm US dollar

Precious metals came under selling pressure as Middle East tensions resurfaced with attacks on tankers near the Strait of Hormuz and a firm US dollar. COMEX gold slipped $40 per troy ounce to around $4,127, while silver fell $1.62 to $60.71. On MCX, gold futures dropped 1,916 rupees per 10 grams to 1,45,001 rupees and silver futures fell 6,371 rupees per kg to 2,29,638 rupees, tracking weakness in international markets.
