GPT Healthcare reported FY26 revenue of Rs 478.5 Cr (up 15.14% YoY) but PAT declined 15.43% to Rs 42.2 Cr due to losses from the new Raipur hospital. EBITDA fell 1.86% to Rs 90.1 Cr with margin contracting to 18.84% from 22.10% in FY25. The Raipur facility (commissioned May 2025) reported EBITDA loss of Rs 13.8 Cr with only 12.35% occupancy, while mature hospitals delivered 23.06% EBITDA margin. The company added 158 beds in FY26 taking total to 719 beds. ARPOB improved to Rs 39,243 from Rs 37,180 driven by better clinical mix. ILS Dum Dum returned to profitability after restructuring. The company plans to add a 150-bed Jamshedpur hospital (Rs 75 Cr investment) targeting commissioning by end-FY27, with goal to reach 1,000+ beds.
The new Raipur hospital is dragging near-term profitability and margins, but the company maintains a strong net cash position (net debt-to-equity of -0.12). Expansion into Jamshedpur and other Tier I/II cities in Eastern India could restore growth trajectory if Raipur ramp-up improves as expected.
