Graphite India reported audited FY25 results with standalone revenue of Rs. 2,420 Cr (down from Rs. 2,894 Cr in FY24), but profit before exceptional items and tax jumped to Rs. 569 Cr from Rs. 125 Cr, supported by strong other income. Standalone PAT was Rs. 452 Cr (EPS Rs. 23.15) versus Rs. 872 Cr in FY24, which had a one-time Rs. 954 Cr gain from sale of Bengaluru land. The board recommended a dividend of Rs. 11 per share (face value Rs. 2), totalling about Rs. 215 Cr, subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Debanjan Mandal was appointed as an Additional Independent Director for five years and also joined the Audit Committee. M/s. Bajaj Todi & Associates were appointed as Secretarial Auditors for FY26 to FY30. Auditors (S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP) issued an unmodified opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Core operations showed a meaningful margin recovery despite weaker top-line, while the dividend is healthy and signals cash-generative strength. The stock may react positively to the operational turnaround in the graphite and carbon segment, though the absence of last year's land-sale windfall makes year-on-year profit comparison look weaker.
