Grauer & Weil's board approved standalone and consolidated unaudited results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone revenue from operations fell to ₹24,932 lakhs from ₹26,179 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a decline of about 4.8% year-on-year. Profit after tax dropped to ₹4,365 lakhs (from ₹5,070 lakhs), with EPS at ₹0.96 versus ₹1.12. The Surface Finishings segment (chemicals/paints) remained stable, but the Engineering segment saw revenue halve and the Shoppertainment (mall) segment reported near-zero revenue and a loss of ₹417 lakhs, versus a profit of ₹587 lakhs last year. The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board order keeping the mall suspended since March 2025 continues to weigh on this segment; the company has filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court and has made no provision in the books. Statutory auditor M M Nissim & Co LLP issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Weak quarter for shareholders — both revenue and profits declined year-on-year, mainly dragged by the suspended mall operations. The Supreme Court outcome on the mall will be a key swing factor; until then, the Shoppertainment segment will continue to lose money. Core Surface Finishings business remains healthy and is holding up overall performance.
