Greenpanel Industries posted a weak Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025), swinging to a net loss of ₹3,462.36 lakhs versus a profit of ₹1,571.49 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations fell about 10% year-on-year to ₹32,819.35 lakhs, while total expenses rose to ₹37,900.43 lakhs. The loss was largely driven by a foreign exchange loss of ₹2,754.27 lakhs on revaluation of its Euro-denominated ECB loan of EUR 32.32 million, as the Euro moved from ₹92.06 to ₹100.50 against the rupee. Additionally, the company has not recognised ₹2,787 lakhs of power subsidy and other government subsidies based on legal advice. The MDF segment reported a loss of ₹1,132.14 lakhs in segment results. The board also accepted the resignation of CIO Jayanta Bhowmik (effective August 7, 2025) and appointed Vineet Bansal as the new CIO (effective August 8, 2025).
The sharp swing to a quarterly loss, driven by forex losses and deferred subsidies, is likely to weigh negatively on investor sentiment in the near term. The CIO-level transition is a routine management change and not material to operations.
