Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC) has informed the exchanges of a change at the top. Dr. T. Natarajan, IAS has stepped down as Managing Director effective December 29, 2025, following a Government of Gujarat order dated December 23, 2025. He will, however, continue on the Board as a Nominee Director representing the Finance Department, GoG. In his place, Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS (2004 batch, Gujarat Cadre), an IIT BHU and Duke University alumnus, has taken over as the new Managing Director from the same date. Mr. Beniwal has two decades of administrative experience, including stints as District Collector of Mehsana and Ahmedabad, and as MD of Gujarat Urban Development Company. His appointment is subject to approval by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Board.
This is a routine government-driven leadership change since GNFC is a Gujarat state-owned entity, and both the outgoing and incoming MDs are IAS officers. Shareholders are unlikely to see any major strategic shift, and the stock is not expected to react materially. The continuity of the outgoing MD as Nominee Director suggests ongoing government oversight.
