Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals reported standalone net profit of Rs. 2,084 Lakhs for FY2026, up 32% from Rs. 1,582 Lakhs in FY2025. Total income from operations grew 7% to Rs. 4,35,808 Lakhs. However, Q4 standalone profit dropped 63% to Rs. 793 Lakhs from Rs. 2,138 Lakhs in the year-ago quarter. Basic EPS for the full year stood at Rs. 2.84. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 17.70 per share (face value Rs. 10), totaling Rs. 12,998.34 Lakhs. On a consolidated basis, other comprehensive income showed a significant loss of Rs. 33,944 Lakhs (vs loss of Rs. 22,327 Lakhs), driven by mark-to-market and other OCI items. Joint venture GACL-NALCO incurred losses of Rs. 3,868.72 Lakhs during the year.
Strong dividend payout (Rs. 17.70 per share) signals management confidence, but the 63% Q4 profit decline and substantial OCI loss may weigh on investor sentiment in the near term. The stock operates in the single Chemicals segment and is promoted by Gujarat government.
