Gujarat Ambuja Exports announced audited standalone and consolidated results for Q4 and FY25 (ended March 31, 2025). Standalone revenue from operations fell to Rs. 4,612.58 crore from Rs. 4,926.93 crore in FY24, a decline of about 6.4%. Net profit for FY25 dropped sharply to Rs. 250.82 crore from Rs. 345.92 crore, with Q4 standalone profit at just Rs. 32.69 crore versus Rs. 91.40 crore a year ago. EPS fell to Rs. 5.47 from Rs. 7.54. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.25 per share (25% on face value of Re. 1). The company also completed the acquisition of the remaining 25% stake in Maiz Citchem Limited for Rs. 5 crore, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. Statutory auditor Kantilal Patel & Co. issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Sharply lower profits and revenue contraction year-on-year are likely to weigh negatively on the stock in the short term, though the modest dividend and clean audit opinion provide some support. Margin pressure and weak Q4 performance may prompt investor concerns about demand and pricing in the company's core maize and agro-processing segments.
