Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of ₹1,291.23 Cr, up about 18% from ₹1,090.44 Cr in Q1 FY25. However, profit before tax fell to ₹86.05 Cr from ₹100.36 Cr, and net profit dropped to ₹65.40 Cr from ₹76.74 Cr, a decline of roughly 15%. EPS stood at ₹1.43 versus ₹1.43 (basic) in the same period last year. On the segment side, Maize Processing saw revenue and profits decline sharply, while Other Agro Processing nearly tripled its revenue and improved segment profits significantly. The board also approved the appointment of M/s. TNT & Associates as Secretarial Auditors for five years (FY26 to FY30) and alterations to the Articles of Association to align with state electricity regulatory requirements.
Despite strong top-line growth, shareholders should note that bottom-line performance weakened due to margin pressure in the core Maize Processing business, partially offset by improvement in Other Agro Processing. This mixed performance may lead to a neutral-to-slightly-negative market reaction, as profit growth lagged revenue growth.
