Gujarat Fluorochemicals reported strong Q1 FY26 results with consolidated revenue up 5% YoY at Rs. 1,281 crores. Consolidated EBITDA grew 31% to Rs. 344 crores with margins expanding by about 500 basis points to 27%, and PAT surged 70% YoY to Rs. 184 crores. Working capital improved from 188 days to 172 days. Management commenced commercial production of R32 refrigerant in Q2 FY26, several quarters ahead of schedule, and plans to scale it up to 20,000 metric tons by year-end via cost-effective retrofitting. The Fluoropolymer segment posted its highest-ever quarterly revenue, with management reaffirming 25% FY26 growth guidance driven by new approvals in semiconductors, aerospace, and EV applications. The Battery Chemicals business is well-positioned to benefit from the new US energy storage subsidy bill, with LFP CAM plant pre-commissioning complete and major revenue ramp-up expected in FY27.
Sharp margin expansion of ~500 bps, 70% PAT growth, and clear forward catalysts across fluoropolymers, R32, and battery materials point to a positive earnings trajectory. Renewable energy savings of Rs. 150 crores annually from FY27 should further boost profitability, making the near-to-medium term outlook constructive for shareholders.
