Gujarat Gas Limited announced its Q1 FY26 results on August 5, 2025. Revenue from operations stood at Rs. 4,065 crore, down from Rs. 4,615 crore in Q1 FY25. EBITDA was Rs. 579 crore (vs Rs. 574 crore YoY) and Profit After Tax was Rs. 327 crore (vs Rs. 330 crore YoY). Sequentially, EBITDA rose 11% and PAT grew 14% versus Q4 FY25 (Rs. 524 crore and Rs. 287 crore respectively). Operationally, the company hit its highest-ever CNG volume of 3.33 mmscmd (up 12% YoY), added over 35,000 new domestic PNG customers, and now serves 23.02 lakh households across 830 CNG stations. The Board also approved a new business line of sourcing and selling Propane/LPG to industrial customers, expanding beyond its core natural gas portfolio. Total sales volume for the quarter was 8.88 mmscmd.
Mixed bag for investors — sequential improvement in profitability is encouraging, but the YoY revenue decline and flat PAT point to pricing or margin pressure. Strong CNG volume growth, customer additions, and the new Propane/LPG venture are positive longer-term signals, though the stock may see a muted reaction given softer top-line numbers.
