Gujarat Gas renamed to Gujarat Energy; shares allotted under merger scheme

Gujarat Gas has been renamed to Gujarat Energy Limited after a Composite Scheme of Amalgamation approved by MCA in April 2026. Under the scheme, 62.27 crore equity shares of face value Rs. 2 each have been allotted to shareholders of GSPC (35.20 cr shares) and GSPL (27.07 cr shares) as of record date 12 May 2026. Exchange ratios: GSPC shareholders get 10 GEL shares for every 305 GSPC shares; GSPL shareholders get 10 GEL shares for every 13 GSPL shares. New shares listed on NSE and BSE from 18 June 2026.
GSPC and GSPL shareholders have received GEL shares in their demat accounts; company has restructured with a new name and expanded share base.
