Gujarat Toolroom reported FY25 revenue of ₹313.79 crore (standalone, up 52% YoY) and ₹889.63 crore (consolidated, up 60% YoY), driven by new segments in rough diamonds, agricultural products, and construction materials. However, standalone profit after tax fell 7.9% to ₹11.61 crore and consolidated PAT dropped 25.6% to ₹54.48 crore as margins compressed. Operating cash flow turned deeply negative at -₹262 crore (standalone) and -₹255 crore (consolidated), mainly due to a massive jump in trade receivables from ₹2.67 crore to ₹151.39 crore standalone. The auditor issued an unmodified opinion but flagged that GST returns from Feb 2025 were not filed and TDS/TCS was not deducted/paid in Q4. The company raised ₹194 crore via share issuance during the year and shifted its registered office within Ahmedabad.
Strong top-line growth is undermined by shrinking profitability and a deeply negative operating cash flow driven by ballooning receivables, which is a red flag for shareholders. The auditor's observations on GST and TDS/TCS non-compliance, though not affecting the unmodified opinion, raise governance concerns. Near-term stock sentiment may remain cautious until working capital normalises and cash flows turn positive.
