GVP Infotech has amicably settled its arbitration case against Minosha India Limited (formerly Ricoh India). The arbitrator, Justice J.D. Kapoor, allowed withdrawal of the proceedings on July 2, 2025, after both parties agreed to a settlement. Originally, the company had a receivable of about ₹110.02 crore from Minosha, but under the settlement it will recover only ₹20 crore. The remaining ₹90.02 crore (roughly 82% of the original claim) will be charged as a loss to the company's profit and loss statement for the current financial year. Two of the five related proceedings have been concluded, while three are still pending withdrawal.
Shareholders should expect a major one-time hit to the company's earnings, with a ₹90+ crore loss being recognized in the P&L. The stock may react negatively given the size of the write-off relative to the company's scale, though it removes long-pending legal uncertainty.
