Happiest Minds reported Q1 FY26 revenue of ₹54,990 lakhs ($64.36M), up 18.6% year-on-year in rupee terms and 15.9% in dollar terms, with constant currency growth of 17.5% YoY. EBITDA came in at ₹12,405 lakhs with a margin of 21.4%, a sharp improvement from 19.3% in Q4 FY25 but lower than 23.9% in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax rose 68% sequentially to ₹5,713 lakhs (₹5,103 lakhs in Q1 FY25), while adjusted EPS stood at ₹4.55 versus ₹4.76 a year ago. The company added 4 net new active clients to reach 285, with repeat business at 93.7% and headcount of 6,523. BFSI became the top vertical at 26.2% of revenue, while the Americas contributed 59.5% and time-and-material contracts made up 76.9% of the mix.
Sequential margin recovery and healthy constant-currency growth are positives, but the YoY drop in EBITDA margin (23.9% to 21.4%) and slightly lower adjusted EPS compared to last year may keep investors watching closely. Results are broadly in line with IT services peers, with no major negative surprise.
