Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd invested Rs. 10,00,00,040 (approx. Rs. 10.04 crore) in its subsidiary Hariom Power and Energy Private Limited (HPEPL) by subscribing to 7,14,286 equity shares at Rs. 140 per share (face value Rs. 10 + premium Rs. 130) via preferential placement. Post-allotment, HPIL holds 78.70% in HPEPL. HPEPL was incorporated in March 2025 to develop a 60 MW solar power plant in Maharashtra under a long-term PPA. The transaction is a related party deal but has been conducted at arm's length with an independent valuation report.
This investment strengthens HPEPL's capital base to support completion of its solar power project. For HPIL shareholders, it signals strategic diversification into renewable energy, though the subsidiary currently has no revenue and execution of the project will be the key monitorable.
