Haryana Capfin, an NBFC focused on investment and financing, reported weak Q1 FY26 results. Total revenue from operations fell sharply to Rs. 23.05 lakh from Rs. 42.39 lakh in Q1 FY25, a drop of about 46%, mainly because interest income collapsed to Rs. 3 lakh from Rs. 42.33 lakh. The profit was partly cushioned by Rs. 19.88 lakh from sale of mutual fund units (vs Rs. 0.06 lakh last year). Net profit plunged about 78% to Rs. 4.12 lakh from Rs. 18.76 lakh, and EPS dropped to Rs. 0.08 from Rs. 0.36. On the brighter side, Other Comprehensive Income swung to a positive Rs. 1,432.93 lakh (from a negative Rs. 8,126.25 lakh) due to favourable changes in the fair value of the company's investments. The auditor issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications.
Core earnings power weakened meaningfully this quarter as the main interest income business shrank, though investment portfolio revaluation provided a large non-cash boost to comprehensive income. Shareholders should watch whether interest income recovers in coming quarters, as the headline PAT trend is clearly negative.
