CARE Ratings has reaffirmed the highest possible credit ratings for Havells India across all its instruments. Long-term bank facilities kept the CARE AAA (Stable) rating, though the sanctioned amount was reduced from ₹500 crore to ₹100 crore. Short-term bank facilities retained the CARE A1+ rating with an enhanced limit rising from ₹797.50 crore to ₹1,197.50 crore. The ₹500 crore Commercial Paper programme was also reaffirmed at CARE A1+. The review was based on Havells' audited FY25 operational and financial performance.
This is a neutral-to-positive signal for shareholders — the highest possible ratings from CARE confirm Havells' strong financial health and creditworthiness, supporting low borrowing costs. The reduction in long-term limits and increase in short-term limits suggests a shift toward working-capital-driven funding rather than any credit quality concern.
