HCL Tech shares in focus after signing 7-year deal with Guardian Life Insurance

HCLTech signed a 7-year expanded agreement with Guardian Life Insurance to drive AI-powered transformation across data, applications and engineering, including acquiring Guardian's global capability centre in India with about 2,000 employees. The deal will see HCLTech set up a dedicated Strategic Business Unit and expand deployment of its AI Force platform for agentic capabilities. The announcement comes after HCLTech posted a 20% year-on-year rise in Q1 consolidated net profit to Rs 4,624 crore on 13% revenue growth, while retaining its muted FY27 constant currency revenue growth guidance of 1-4%.
