HCL Tech shares surged 6 percent after the company announced a 1.14 billion dollar AI deal with a Fortune Global 50 firm, representing entirely new business. The agreement, running from July 2026 to December 2031 with a five-year extension option, involves HCL Tech building an AI-driven operating model for the customer's Global Digital Workplace and Enterprise Networks. The news comes alongside a 4.2 percent YoY rise in Q4FY26 net profit to Rs 4,488 crore on revenue of Rs 33,981 crore, though the company missed its FY26 revenue growth guidance of 4 to 4.5 percent, ending at 3.9 percent.
