HCLTech announced that six of its campuses in India — Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Vijayawada, and Madurai — have been awarded the highest TRUE Zero Waste Platinum Certification by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). This takes the total number of certified large HCLTech campuses in India to seven, with Nagpur receiving the certification last year. The recognition acknowledges that the company diverts over 99% of waste from landfills through reducing, reusing, recycling, and recovery practices. The TRUE certification requires facilities to divert at least 90% of solid waste from landfills and incineration across 15 performance categories.
This is a sustainability and ESG milestone with no direct financial impact on revenue, orders, or guidance. It may modestly strengthen HCLTech's brand image among environmentally conscious clients and investors, but is unlikely to move the stock price.
