HDB Financial Services has allotted 27,500 secured redeemable NCDs at a face value of Rs. 1,00,000 each, aggregating to Rs. 275 crore, on a private placement basis. The NCDs carry a coupon of 7.3274% per annum (XIRR 7.3150%) with a tenure of 1,044 days, maturing on August 4, 2028. Interest will be paid annually on August 4, with the principal repaid at par on maturity. The NCDs are secured by a first and exclusive charge on the company's receivables with a minimum 1.0x asset cover and are proposed to be listed on the Wholesale Debt Market segment of BSE.
The Rs. 275 crore raise strengthens HDB Financial's funding base at a market-aligned cost of about 7.33%, with no dilution to equity shareholders since these are debt instruments. For stock investors, the impact is neutral; the move is routine liability management for an NBFC.
