HDFC AMC reported strong Q1 FY26 results with quarterly average AUM (QAAUM) of ₹8,286 billion, up 23% YoY, holding 11.5% market share. Closing AUM stood at ₹8,570 billion. Revenue from operations rose 25% YoY to ₹9,678 million, while profit after tax grew 24% to ₹7,480 million. Operating profit increased 30% YoY to ₹7,534 million, with operating margin improving to 36 bps from 35 bps. Equity-oriented QAAUM was ₹5,322 billion (64% of total AUM vs 56% for the industry). The company added 12.03 million systematic transactions worth ₹40.1 billion in June 2025, has 13.7 million unique investors, 24.3 million live accounts, and over 99,000 distribution partners. Individual investors contribute 70% of monthly average AUM, giving HDFC AMC a 13.1% share of individual investor AUM.
Strong AUM growth, healthy operating profit beat, and improving operating margins reinforce HDFC AMC's market leadership position. The outperformance of operating profit growth (30%) over revenue growth (25%) signals continued margin expansion, which is positive for shareholders.
