HCG, India's largest dedicated cancer hospital network, has launched a new comprehensive cancer hospital in Hebbal, North Bengaluru with up to 132 beds. The facility introduces Karnataka's first Elekta Unity MR-Linac, one of the world's most advanced precision radiation therapy platforms that combines MRI imaging with a linear accelerator for highly precise, adaptive cancer treatment. Additional equipment includes Accuray TomoTherapy, an 80-slice Digital PET-CT scanner, five robotic-assisted modular operation theatres, 19 chemotherapy daycare beds, 14 premium treatment bays, and a 15-bed ICU and HDU. The hospital spans 1,75,086 sq ft and will serve as a comprehensive cancer management hub under HCG's multidisciplinary care model, strengthening the company's presence in Bengaluru.
This expansion increases HCG's network capacity and footprint in Bengaluru, bringing advanced oncology services to a new region. While this should support future revenue growth through additional patient capacity, it involves significant capital investment. The MR-Linac technology differentiation may attract more patients seeking precision treatment.
