Hero MotoCorp reported exceptional April 2026 performance with dispatches of 566,086 units, an 85% jump from 305,406 units in April 2025. Domestic retail sales stood at 552,713 units with ~8% growth. The company's EV brand VIDA more than doubled dispatches with record 129% YoY growth and entered the Asia Book of Records for the longest-ever electric two-wheeler journey of 10,500 kms. The ICE (internal combustion engine) segment recorded its highest April dispatch since the pandemic with 83% volume growth. Global business also grew robustly with 33,653 exports. Hero expanded its distribution network with 70 new touchpoints and partnered with Quilmotors as exclusive distributor in Ecuador for assembly and sales operations.
The strong April dispatch numbers and broad-based growth across segments signal sustained demand recovery and market share gains. The accelerating VIDA EV business and international expansion demonstrate successful diversification strategy, which could be positive for investor sentiment.
