HFCL Limited has informed the stock exchanges that shares of shareholders who did not claim their dividend for FY 2017-18 for seven consecutive years are now liable to be transferred to the IEPF Authority. The company sent individual notices to these shareholders on July 29, 2025, asking them to claim their unpaid dividend by November 4, 2025. If the dividend remains unclaimed, the corresponding equity shares will be moved to the IEPF Authority's demat account through a corporate action. Shareholders can still claim their dividend by submitting documents to the Registrar (MCS Share Transfer Agent) by October 15, 2025.
This is a routine regulatory compliance filing under Section 124 of the Companies Act. It does not affect shareholders who are up to date on claiming dividends. Shareholders with unclaimed FY 2017-18 dividends risk losing ownership of their shares and any future corporate benefits on them, and will need to apply to the IEPF Authority to reclaim them later. No material impact on the stock price is expected.
