High Energy Batteries India has published its Q1 FY26 unaudited results in Business Standard and Makkal Kural as required under SEBI listing rules. Total income from operations stood at Rs 1,418.21 lakhs, down about 25% from Rs 1,897.98 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Net profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 78.36 lakhs versus Rs 288.06 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a drop of nearly 73%. Basic and diluted EPS came in at Rs 0.87, compared to Rs 3.21 a year ago. Equity share capital remained unchanged at Rs 179.28 lakhs, with other equity at Rs 9,780.72 lakhs.
Year-on-year, both revenue and profits have contracted significantly, suggesting weaker demand or margin pressure in the quarter. The steep fall in EPS is likely to be viewed negatively by retail investors, though this is a routine newspaper publication of already-filed results and not new information.
