Hikal Limited has published newspaper notices informing shareholders about unclaimed Final Dividend for FY 2018-19. The company has sent reminder letters to shareholders who have not claimed dividends for seven or more consecutive years. Under Section 124(6) of the Companies Act, 2013, these unclaimed dividends and corresponding shares will be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) on September 5, 2026. Shareholders have until this date to claim their dividends; after that, their shares will be transferred to IEPF and can only be reclaimed from IEPF Authority through a prescribed procedure.
Shareholders holding physical or demat shares with unclaimed 2018-19 dividend will lose voting rights and dividends on those shares if not claimed by September 5, 2026. They can still recover their shares later from IEPF but will need to follow official procedures.
