Hilltone Software and Gases Ltd's board, meeting on 29th May 2025, approved the audited standalone financial results for Q4 and full year ended 31 March 2025. Statutory auditor K.C. Parikh & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results. Full-year revenue from operations rose modestly to Rs. 752.49 lakhs (FY24: Rs. 684.53 lakhs), but the company swung to a net loss of Rs. 15.70 lakhs versus a profit of Rs. 50.64 lakhs in the previous year. Q4 FY25 was particularly weak, with a net loss of Rs. 46.51 lakhs compared to a profit of Rs. 15.93 lakhs in Q4 FY24, pulling basic EPS down to Rs. 0.14 (FY24: Rs. 0.63). The Gases segment continued to drag with an operating loss of Rs. 88.67 lakhs for the year, while the Software segment delivered a profit of Rs. 41.22 lakhs. Operating cash flow turned positive at Rs. 63.92 lakhs (FY24: negative Rs. 718.38 lakhs), and total assets grew to Rs. 1,750.27 lakhs.
Shareholders should note the sharp deterioration in profitability — the company moved from profit to loss on both a quarterly and annual basis, with the core Gases business bleeding operationally. However, a clean audit opinion and improved operating cash flow provide some reassurance. The stock may face pressure given the weak earnings print, even though revenue held up.
