Hind Aluminium Industries reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 11.21 crore, up from Rs. 8.15 crore in Q1 FY25 (~37% growth). Standalone net profit jumped to Rs. 9.06 crore from just Rs. 0.05 crore a year ago, while total income rose to Rs. 12.90 crore. On a consolidated basis, net profit attributable to owners was Rs. 11.90 crore (vs Rs. 2.37 crore), boosted by Rs. 2.89 crore share of profit from the Oman associate company. Segment-wise, the Aluminium Products business continues to post a loss of Rs. 0.92 crore, while Treasury Operations contributed Rs. 2.11 crore of profit. The statutory auditor (Karnavat & Co.) issued a qualified review report flagging that gratuity and leave encashment provisions were not based on actuarial valuation as required under Ind AS 19, and the impact on profit/loss is unascertainable.
Sharp improvement in headline profitability looks positive, but the operating Aluminium Products segment is still loss-making, and the bulk of the standalone profit appears driven by non-operating items. The auditor's qualified opinion on employee benefit provisioning and the reliance on an unreviewed associate company in consolidated numbers are yellow flags investors should note.
