Hind Rectifiers has launched three new high-performance copper products — Continuously Transposed Conductors (CTC), Paper Insulated Copper Conductors (PICC), and Enameled Paper Insulated Copper Conductors (EPICC) — manufactured at its newly expanded plant in Sinnar, Nashik. These conductors are designed for high-power transformers, traction motors, and other wound components, serving power grids, railway rolling stock, catenary power systems, and industrial power networks. The new lines offer high customisation in strand sizing, insulation layers (up to 32 layers for CTC), and tight tolerances of ±5 microns, with 100% in-line optical testing. The company plans to export these products globally to strengthen its position in the transformer supply chain, building on its existing presence in over 30 countries.
This is a positive capacity expansion and product diversification move that strengthens HIRECT's position in the transformer and railway equipment supply chain, and could open up export revenue streams. However, no confirmed orders, revenue figures, or timelines have been disclosed, so near-term financial impact remains to be seen.
