Hindalco Industries has commissioned a new aluminium bicycle component manufacturing facility at Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra. The plant will produce frames, rigid forks, handlebars and wheel rims for domestic and international customers. Annual capacity is about 5 lakh frames and forks, 7.5 lakh handlebars and 8 lakh pairs of wheel rims. The project supports the company's strategy to expand its portfolio of value-added aluminium products and mobility applications.
