Hindalco's board approved its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations rose to ₹24,264 Cr (from ₹22,155 Cr a year ago), while net profit jumped to ₹1,862 Cr (from ₹1,471 Cr), a growth of about 27%. Consolidated revenue grew to ₹64,232 Cr and consolidated net profit rose to ₹4,004 Cr (from ₹3,074 Cr), up about 30%. The company booked a ₹160 Cr impairment loss on surrendering one coal mine, announced the $125 million acquisition of US-based AluChem (specialty alumina), and shared progress on the EMIL Mines acquisition. Novelis raised $400 million in tax-exempt bonds for its Bay Minette plant and began a $750 million senior notes offering to refinance 2026 notes.
Strong double-digit profit growth on both standalone and consolidated basis should be viewed positively by shareholders. The impairment and pending CBI matter are noted risks, but acquisitions and capacity expansion signal a growth-focused strategy. Trading window remains closed for 48 hours post-announcement.
