Hinduja Global Solutions' broadband subsidiary OneOTT Intertainment Ltd. (OIL) has signed an MoU with the Uttar Pradesh Government's Labour and Employment Department to train 100,000 (one lakh) youth in digital skills and connect them with jobs. OIL will run skill training workshops, capacity-building programmes, and offer technical and policy support, while the UP Government will coordinate with relevant departments and institutions. The initiative is part of OIL's broader effort to partner with state institutions on digital inclusion and connectivity-led development across India. HGS had total income of Rs. 4,959 crore (US$ 586 million) for FY25, with OIL serving over 1 million broadband customers across 350+ cities.
This is primarily a brand-building and social-impact initiative rather than a direct revenue-driving contract, so the immediate financial impact on HGS is likely limited. However, it strengthens OIL's positioning in government partnerships and the digital inclusion narrative, which could support longer-term business visibility in UP and other states.
