Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has appointed Shri Kota Ravi as Chairman & Managing Director effective 1st May, 2026. He was previously serving as Director (Operations) of the company. The appointment is based on a Ministry of Defence letter dated 30th April, 2026. His term will be till superannuation on 30th June, 2029, or until further orders from the Ministry, whichever is earlier. Shri Kota Ravi is a Mechanical Engineering graduate with over 30 years of experience in aerospace and defence, and was instrumental in securing major contracts including 180 LCA Tejas for the Indian Air Force. He is not related to any other Director of the company.
