HAL's Board has appointed Shri Kota Ravi, previously Director (Operations), as Chairman & Managing Director effective 1st May, 2026. The appointment follows a Ministry of Defence letter and is valid until his superannuation on 30th June, 2029, or until further government orders. Kota Ravi has over 30 years of experience at HAL, having led the LCA Tejas division, secured major contracts including 180 LCA Tejas and 156 LCH Prachand orders, and helped obtain HAL's Maharatna status. He holds an engineering degree from Malnad College of Engineering and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
