Hindustan Tin Works Limited held a board meeting on 13th August 2025 where it approved unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30th June 2025). Revenue from operations rose to Rs 11,937.32 lakhs from Rs 10,095.42 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 18%. However, profit after tax declined to Rs 275.61 lakhs from Rs 343.87 lakhs, a drop of roughly 20%, as input costs and other expenses outpaced revenue gains. Profit before tax margin compressed to around 3.4% from 4.5% year-on-year. The board also cleared the Director's Report, MD&A and Corporate Governance Report for FY25, and fixed 26th September 2025 as the AGM date, with the Register of Members closing from 20th to 26th September for dividend declaration. Statutory auditor Mukesh Raj & Co. issued an unqualified limited review report.
Mixed for shareholders — top-line growth is healthy but bottom-line pressure from rising costs is a concern. The proposed dividend at the AGM could provide some near-term support to the stock, though margin compression may weigh on sentiment.
