Hindustan Tin Works Ltd reported its Q1 FY26 results with Total Income of around Rs. 12,006 lakhs versus Rs. 10,840 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a growth of roughly 11-12% year-on-year. Profit Before Tax jumped to Rs. 465.28 lakhs from Rs. 228.25 lakhs, more than doubling YoY. Profit After Tax stood at about Rs. 318 lakhs versus Rs. 263 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, an increase of around 21%. Basic and diluted EPS came in at Rs. 3.05 compared to Rs. 2.53 earlier, while reserves excluding revaluation reserves were at Rs. 20,489 lakhs. Exceptional items were nil. The statutory auditors issued an unqualified limited review report.
Profit growth far outpaced revenue growth, signalling meaningful margin expansion and better operating efficiency, which is positive for shareholders. Strong bottom-line performance despite a modest topline rise is likely to be viewed favourably by the market.
