CARE Ratings has downgraded Hindware Home Innovation's credit ratings on its bank facilities. The long-term bank facilities of Rs. 159 crore have been revised from CARE A- to CARE BBB+, while short-term bank facilities of Rs. 110 crore have been revised from CARE A2+ to CARE A2. Both ratings remain on 'Rating Watch with Developing Implications' (RWD). The downgrade is linked to the company's operational and financial performance in FY25 and 9MFY26, as well as the ongoing composite demerger and amalgamation scheme. CARE will take a fresh view once the impact of the corporate restructuring on the credit profile becomes clearer.
The downgrade signals weakening creditworthiness and may lead to higher borrowing costs for the company. For shareholders, this is a negative development that could weigh on the stock, as it reflects financial stress and uncertainty from the ongoing corporate restructuring.
