Hira Automobiles (vehicle dealership) reported a sharp decline in Q2 FY26 performance. Revenue from operations fell to Rs. 2,667.33 lakhs, down about 46% from Rs. 4,940.55 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Profit after tax dropped to Rs. 9.16 lakhs versus Rs. 36.95 lakhs YoY, a decline of roughly 75%, with EPS slipping to Rs. 0.33 from Rs. 1.34. Half-yearly revenue also fell about 49% YoY to Rs. 5,802.85 lakhs, while H1 PAT fell to Rs. 13.90 lakhs from Rs. 47.60 lakhs. Operating profit before tax compressed sharply from Rs. 49.95 lakhs to Rs. 12.79 lakhs, indicating significant margin pressure. The statutory auditor (Mohan Juneja & Co.) issued an unqualified limited review report, and operating cash flow remained positive at Rs. 974.93 lakhs.
Despite still posting a profit, the steep YoY decline in both revenue and earnings is a negative signal for shareholders, suggesting weak business momentum and margin compression. The stock may face short-term pressure given the scale of the deterioration, though the clean auditor opinion and positive operating cash flow provide some reassurance.
